Nemrah Ahmed is an internationally acclaimed Urdu author of many well-loved novels and non-fictional works. She started her career as a writing prodigy at a women’s monthly magazine at the age of 16. With her first novel published at such a tender age, she continued writing along with her studies and penned a few cherished novels in that period. After obtaining her Masters in English Literature at the age of 22, she became a full time author.

With her well-researched style and innovative themes in fiction, Nemrah not only revived the popularity of urdu novels among youngsters but her skillful interweaving of Quranic themes and ayats into the everyday life settings of the novels solidified her unique position among Urdu authors. Her influential writings have been earning her a place on The News Women Power 50 list for three consecutive years. There are a total of 11 novels on her name including best sellers like Mushaf (Best Selling Urdu Book at New Dehli Book Fair 2017), Jannat Kay Pattay, Namal and Haalim.

In March of 2016, she launched her own bookstore Zanjabeel, the first of it’s kind, women-run online bookstore in Pakistan. Zanjabeel offers a wide array of innovative literary products along with books. It has been providing home-based employment opportunities to young women throughout the country.

When she is not writing, Nemrah spends her time remodeling small spaces or travelling to far off places to follow the stories.
